Gutturnio<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t

A very ancient Emilian wine, already appreciated in Roman times, Gutturnio<\/strong> elegantly reflects the charismatic identity of this land. Already at the time of Julius Caesar it had a special role in banquets; in fact it takes its name from its silver cup, the gutturnium, from which all the diners drank a sip as a sign of friendship. The red berry grape variety of Barbera and Croatina together give rise to an intense wine, with firm tannin and a complexity of aromas ranging from fragrant fruity to dried violet.<\/p>\n

In the mouth, the strong freshness and intense minerality determine the very important pairings: from roasted or braised meats to aged cheeses, up to truffle-based dishes. In its sparkling version it creates perfect pairings with Italian cured meats and fresh egg pasta stuffed with meat. We serve the latter at a temperature of 8-10 degrees in a balloon glass, while the still version will give its best at 16-18 degrees in a burgundy glass. <\/p>\n<\/div>
